A beautiful Spring evening down in Kyle at Central Texas Speedway, and a great opening night with a large crowd and lots of great food and entertainment. Despite our first carnival of the season at Timmerman Elementary having some minor technical difficulties, so far we are off to a great start, with hundreds of children and parents enjoying the racing. Races2U was asked by Experian Consumer Services to set up a track at the Global Privacy Summit for the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) at the Wardman Park Marriot in Washington, DC. A big “Thank you” to our Florida partners at Checkered Flag Entertainment for helping us out with this event. Here are a few pictures. The names and faces have been hidden to protect their privacy. You can see the custom cars that we built for Experian, as well as their logos and advertisements on the track buildings and walls.
So what is All-Con? It is an all-inclusive convention. Comics, Games, Sci-Fi, Dolls, Collectibles, and lots of other cool stuff. Here Star Wars and Star Trek fans peacefully coexist, and Burlesque and Disney can be found in the same convention. It’s fun and unusual, and a very interesting gathering of folks from all over the spectrum. Thank you to all the wonderful folks at Porsche of Plano for including Races2U as a part of your customer appreciation party. Everyone had a great time racing on our scale replica of Monte Carlo, and just like the real things, the 1:32 scale Porsche cars handled all the twists and turns effortlessly. If anyone in North Texas is looking for a high-performance sports car, I would highly recommend the good folks at Porsche of Plano, who know their wonderful machines inside and out. We can’t wait to see all the pictures, and here are a few we got to take before the party started.
It’s finally here, up and running! Come in and check out our slot car drag strip, with electronics by Dragon Racing Systems. Complete with Christmas tree and timing to 1/1000th of a second. Stage your car and go on the green. Just don’t jump it, or you’ll be seeing red! Try and see how your 1:32 scale analog (and many digital) cars accelerate from a standing start to the finish line.
The day may have started wet and dreary, but it turned out to be a perfect late morning for the Rock’n'Rides Car Show to benefit the Rouse High School Band in Leander. A great time was had by all.
