- Derek Daly: A highly successful Irish F1 driver (1978–1982) who raced for teams like Hesketh, Ensign, Tyrrell, and Williams, later achieving success in CART and sports car racing.
- Tommy Byrne: Often cited as one of Ireland's most talented drivers, who competed in F1 in 1982 for Theodore and dominated junior formula racing, with many believing he deserved better opportunities.
- James Deane: A world-renowned drift driver, he is the first and only five-time Formula Drift Champion, marking him as a legend in the sport.
- Ralph Firman: Raced in F1 in 2003 with Jordan Grand Prix and brought considerable success to Ireland in junior categories, including the British Formula 3 Championship.
