White and Case event at The Podium

To quote Tom Cruise in Risky Business, "Porsche... there is no substitute."

White & Case recently hosted a Departure Reception at The Podium at Porsche River Oaks to celebrate the firm's 2026 Houston Summer Associate Class and mark the successful completion of another outstanding Summer Program. The event brought together attorneys, summer associates, and firm guests for an evening of celebration, reflection, and friendly competition.

Guests enjoyed a beautiful venue surrounded by Porsche's impressive lineup of vehicles, along with great food, drinks, and gelato from Constantino. For entertainment, Races2U delivered an immersive racing simulator experience that quickly became one of the highlights of the evening.

To complement the Porsche setting, we selected Gran Turismo 7 as our racing platform, giving participants the opportunity to compete in a variety of Porsche models across world-renowned tracks. The virtual cars were customized with White & Case branding, and the simulators featured Fanatec's Porsche-approved steering wheels to create an authentic racing experience.

The competition was fierce from start to finish. Trophies were awarded to the top three drivers, with only seconds separating the winning lap times. While Houston's damp weather made an appearance, it certainly did not dampen the excitement as attendees celebrated the accomplishments of the summer associates and the successful conclusion of the program.

Congratulations to the 2026 Houston Summer Associate Class and thank you to everyone who helped make the summer such a success.

RC Racing with LSI Industries

LSI
is a commercial indoor and outdoor lighting and display solutions company. They hired us to set up an RC track in their trade show booth at the LightX Expo at the Gaylord Texan resort and convention center in Dallas (Grapevine), Texas.  The Expo was an opportunity for manufactures and distributors in the lighting industry to network with many of their biggest customers and also participate in educational courses about innovations in the industry.  LSI is one of the biggest names in the industry, and it was obvious that this company has a lot of respect and goodwill from their clients.  The team was really easy to work with , and everyone enjoyed the racing. This was a great opportunity for them to display their various product lines, because to be able to race on the track, each participant was required to visit 3 stations and learn about the various lighting solutions.  Everyone wanted to race, so they willingly participated.

For this event, we setup a 10x20 road course and raced custom branded Kyosho Mini-Z remote controlled cars.  We installed transponders into the cars so we could keep track of how many people raced, best times, and other data. The racing was fast and fun as we kept the large crowd of lighting professionals engaged for the entire duration of the event.

How Does a NASCAR Racing Simulator Make Every Event More Interactive?

Texas Motor Speedway NASCAR simulator

Corporate events, community festivals, and private parties often suffer from the same quiet problem. Guests arrive, grab a drink, stand in small isolated circles, and politely check their phones every ten minutes. Generic background music or static photo booths, typical entertainment options, do not break the ice or generate any real shared excitement. Hosts spend thousands of dollars in the hopes of creating memorable connections but end up with a room full of attendees who are unengaged and without creating lasting engagement among attendees.

The answer is to transform your crowd from passive spectators into active participants. Any venue’s entire energy is turned upside down by a professional NASCAR racing simulator, unlocking people’s natural competitive spirit. This interactive experience closes the gap between strangers, gets onlookers cheering, and turns a standard gathering into a high-octane tournament.

This blog post explores how high-fidelity racing rigs change crowd dynamics, the specific ways simulator technology drives guest participation, and how combining these setups with options to rent RC cars creates a multi-layered entertainment hub that keeps everyone hooked from start to finish.

The Psychological Pull of the Driver's Seat

Most people will never drive a stock car at two hundred miles per hour, but almost everyone wants to know what it feels like. A realistic simulator provides that exact thrill without any of the real-world danger. The moment a guest sits in the cockpit and grips the force-feedback steering wheel, their focus narrows entirely to the track ahead. The instant immersion removes the social awkwardness and creates pure focus.

The visual feedback on the screens makes it easy to follow the action, and spectators tend to congregate. If a driver pulls off a great overtake or navigates a challenging turn, the crowd naturally joins instantly. The normal anticipation makes an organic community zone inside your event space.

Spectators to Participants

Looking at a screen is not interactivity. Real interactivity means you have skin in the game. Adding leaderboards takes a casual trial run and turns it into a fierce, friendly competition. Guests start comparing lap times, analyzing racing lines, and strategizing how to shave fractions of a second off their scores.

The competitive structure provides an incentive for return visits to the attraction. Anyone playing with the simulator early in the evening will surely return later to reclaim their spot at the top of the board. Continuous involvement guarantees your entertainment a prominent position throughout the entire gathering.

Fun For Every Skill Level Scalable

Event entertainment often fails because it has a high barrier to entry. If the game is too difficult, the guests get frustrated and leave. If it's too easy, they get bored. Today’s racing games get around this with variable difficulty levels and driving assists.

Amateurs can opt for traction control and automatic shifting for a smooth, fun ride around the track. Meanwhile, seasoned gamers can turn off all assists for a highly realistic physics model. This flexibility means children, corporate executives, and lifelong racing fans can all compete on the same equipment and have an equally thrilling time.

Creating Multi-Layered Racing Zones

While a simulator provides an incredible individual experience, adding a secondary racing element keeps larger crowds fully engaged. A fantastic way to expand the footprint of the fun is to rent RC cars alongside the digital rigs. This creates a complete motorsport festival environment at your venue.

While one group of guests battles for the fastest lap on the virtual track, another group can control physical remote-controlled cars on a custom-built miniature track nearby. This dual-attraction setup doubles your event's throughput. It minimizes waiting times and ensures that multiple circles of people are interacting simultaneously.

Unforgettable Brand Activation Opportunities

When it comes to corporate events, entertainment should meet two goals for the company: provide guests with an enjoyable experience, and help the company establish its identity. Simulators allow easy personalization through digital advertising, as you can easily use branding elements like logos on virtual trackside advertising, vehicle liveries, and UI overlays.

Your branding is also naturally integrated in guests’ social networks, due to the fact that they post multiple photos and videos while driving, so your branding gets expanded beyond the event.

Conclusion:

Bringing high-energy racing entertainment to your next gathering creates engaging conversations with guests and shared excitement that unites crowds. Investing in dynamic track experiences ensures your guests stay fully engaged, talkative, and thoroughly entertained throughout the entire day.

At Races2U, we specialize in turning ordinary gatherings into legendary experiences with our premium NASCAR racing simulator options and mobile tracks. Whether you want to challenge your guests on the digital grid or rent RC cars for high-speed physical action, our team brings the ultimate motorsport experience directly to your venue to keep everyone interacting from start to finish.

Racing as a team building event

slot car team building

Racing works very well as a team-building theme because it naturally blends competition, collaboration, and shared adrenaline into one experience.

Why racing is effective

-

Racing is high-energy and instantly engaging, which helps break down social barriers faster than typical workshops or icebreakers.

-

The format encourages both individual performance (drivers, builders) and collective success (pit crews, strategy, cheering squads), mirroring how cross-functional teams work in a business.

-

It creates a neutral “playing field” where job titles matter less than reaction time, communication, and planning under pressure.

-

Indoor go‑kart racing: Teams practice, qualify, and race, with points scored for the team rather than just individual winners, often bundled in 2‑hour corporate programs.

-

Amazing Race–style challenges: Small teams navigate checkpoints and complete mental, physical, and creative tasks in a city or venue, much like the TV show format.

-

RC / slot car / simulator events: Portable tracks and racing simulators come to your office, hotel, or trade show; colleagues drive or coach while others act as pit crews or cheering sections.

-

Build‑and‑race activities: Teams design and build their own “cars” (or rolling carts) and then race them, emphasizing project management, innovation, and presentation skills.

-

Communication under pressure: Coordinating pit stops, race strategy, or challenge routes forces clear, fast communication that closely resembles deadline-driven work.

-

Trust and role clarity: Assigning roles such as driver, timekeeper, strategist, and pit crew helps teams practice trusting others and staying in their lane.

-

Morale and bonding: The shared thrill of competition and cheering each other on tends to produce strong positive memories, which carry back into day‑to‑day collaboration.

-

An illustrative example: a corporate Hot Wheels race day where multiple race events led to strong engagement and informal mingling between co‑workers who rarely interact otherwise.

-

Group size and duration: Many racing venues and mobile providers design 2‑ to 4‑hour programs for groups ranging from under 10 to several hundred participants, often with configurable formats.

-

Space needs: Portable tracks and simulators can fit into surprisingly compact footprints (around 10×10 feet for a small slot car track or two simulators), while RC racing usually needs more room.races2u

-

Budget and logistics: Dedicated corporate racing packages and mobile racing vendors handle most of the logistics and equipment, with pricing that often starts in the low thousands of dollars for on‑site events.

If you share your team size, location (e.g., office vs. off‑site) and whether you prefer physical, RC/slot, or simulator‑based racing, I can outline 2–3 specific racing team-building concepts tailored to your event and marketing objectives.

Race me in St. Louis!

Probably one of the most fun events for us as a company was working with the St. Louis Art Museum during one of their special exhibitions.  Roaring: Art, Fashion, and the Automobile in France was a delightful  and eye opening experience.  We were fortunate enough to have some time before and after our slot car racing to explore the wonderful exhibit!  These rare and priceless cars are as much works of art as they are modes of transportation.  It was really a fantastic experience to see these incredible vehicles in such pristine condition.  Races2U has been a part of many car shows, auctions, and races, and seen more than our fair share of supercars and even hypercars, but this was something even more spectacular.  A big "Thank you!" to SLAM for having us be a part of this event!

What does ChatGPT say about Races2U?

Benefits of having Racing at your booth

Excellent at creating crowds

Unlike passive displays, racing attracts both participants and spectators. Even people waiting in line remain engaged, which increases booth visibility.

Longer conversations

Attendees typically spend several minutes racing instead of grabbing a giveaway and walking away. That gives booth staff more opportunities to qualify prospects.

Competitive element

Leaderboards, tournaments, fastest lap competitions, and prizes encourage repeat visits throughout the show.

Fits surprisingly small booths

Many of their activations are designed for 10×10 spaces, making them practical even for exhibitors without large island booths.

Turnkey execution

Races2U handles logistics, operation, and teardown, reducing demands on the exhibitor's team.

Potential drawbacks

Traffic doesn't automatically equal qualified leads

An attraction can bring in people who have little interest in your products. Success depends on integrating the game with your sales process.

Examples:

Registration required before racing
QR code check-in
Badge scan before entering
Product demo before qualifying for the race
Sales conversation before prize eligibility
Manufacturing
Automotive
Technology
Industrial equipment
Robotics
Engineering
Construction
Telecommunications
Gaming
Consumer electronics
How many simultaneous participants can race?
Average throughput per hour?
Can they integrate your CRM or badge scanning?
Can branding extend to cars, track, uniforms, and leaderboards?
What are electrical and internet requirements?
What is the setup time?
What happens if convention labor restrictions apply?
Can they support multiple cities during a national trade show schedule?
Fastest lap earns a product demo.
Race completion unlocks a premium giveaway.
Daily finals announced on social media.
Display live leaderboards on a large monitor.
Brand the cars after product lines or solutions.
Use race results in follow-up emails ("You finished 3rd yesterday—here's the solution that can help your business finish first.")Bottom line

Races2U appears to be more than an equipment rental company—they position themselves as a turnkey experiential marketing partner focused on increasing booth engagement. Their website highlights experience across major convention cities, customizable branding, and testimonials from recognizable organizations such as Horiba Medical, Samsung, 3M, Experian, and others, although the customer success claims are primarily self-published and not independently verified.

For companies exhibiting at large B2B trade shows where attracting attention is a challenge, this type of activation can be an effective investment when paired with a well-designed lead capture and qualification process. Without that integration, you risk generating excitement without converting it into meaningful business opportunities.

Lamborghini vs. Ferrari on Manual Transmission

Lamborghini has finally abandoned what Ferrari decided to bring back

Пащенко Ирина ÐŸÐ°Ñ‰ÐµÐ½ÐºÐ¾ Ирина  www.topgir.com.ua

Lamborghini states that manual transmissions no longer align with its philosophy. Ferrari now remains the only manufacturer of Italian V12 supercars to offer such an option. This decision prioritizes speed over driver involvement and skill.

Once upon a time, Lamborghini built cars that demanded respect before you even turned the ignition key. They were not always polished, certainly not forgiving, and occasionally reminded drivers that a few hundred horsepower without a safety net has consequences. Those days are long gone, and Lamborghini’s latest comments on manual transmissions only reinforce how the brand has embraced absolute performance over driver engagement.

No manual for Lamborghini

Speaking to Road & Track at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Lamborghini’s Chief Marketing and Sales Officer, Federico Foschini, dismissed the idea that the company might follow Ferrari’s unexpected return to the manual transmission. While he acknowledged that a small group of buyers still wants a manual, he made it clear that Sant’Agata Bolognese is not moving in that direction.

“There are a few clients who are still in love with such things,” Foschini said, “and I think it’s an opportunity… but it’s not a trend. Because such — let’s say, performance and driver engagement — you cannot feel with such a gearbox, you know?”

This is a difficult argument to accept if your definition of engagement goes beyond lap times and acceleration figures. Especially when so many modern supercar owners never spend a second on a racetrack.

Read moreSubscribe to our Telegram channel and get exclusive content

Yes, a dual-clutch transmission will shift faster than even the most talented driver. It will also make every start more consistent, every upshift cleaner, and every performance metric easier to boast about. In fact, they are so efficient that many very good drivers still cannot fully exploit these advantages on the track. But that was never the reason enthusiasts keep asking for manual transmissions. The appeal has always been about participation, not optimization.

A simulated compromise

Ferrari seems to understand this. By introducing the limited-edition 12Cilindri Manuale, Maranello acknowledged that there is value in building a car that prioritizes the driving experience over shaving another tenth of a second off the 0-60 mph sprint. Not that the Ferrari version is a true manual. The protected shifter and clutch pedal are real, but there is no mechanical connection to the powertrain, so it is all a simulation running through an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox and a system Ferrari calls “Manuale by Wire.” Whether the business case is limited to a special series hardly matters. Lamborghini, meanwhile, seems content to leave this niche entirely.

When Lamborghinis bit back

For decades, the appeal of Lamborghini was not just that they built the fastest cars, but cars that felt like an event. They demanded concentration, intimidated their owners, and rewarded those willing to master them. Today’s Lamborghinis use increasingly complex electronics to make four-digit horsepower accessible to almost anyone with enough money to buy one.

This is great for lap times and even better for influencers trying not to crash while speeding through Miami. It is less compelling for those who believe the driver should still play a meaningful role in the experience.

Lamborghini’s decision to abandon the manual, even a simulated one, in favor of exclusively automated transmissions is a logical step in the pursuit of performance, but it also marks a final break from the past where the driver was an integral part of the equation. Ferrari, by contrast, has found a way to offer a compromise that, while technically not a true manual, preserves the ritual and sense of participation that enthusiasts value so much. This is a clash of two philosophies: one focused on pure numbers and accessibility, the other on emotional connection with the driving process. For fans of the brand, this means the era of “wild” Lamborghinis that demanded skill has finally ended, giving way to technologically advanced but somewhat sterile machines.

How to host a NASCAR themed event

NASCAR-themed branding for corporate events usually looks bold, high-contrast, and sponsor-driven, with heavy use of checkered flags, race numbers, logos, and pit-crew cues. In practical terms, that means branded cars, signage, table graphics, staff apparel, and décor that makes the event feel like a polished race-day activation rather than a generic party. Creative Event Themes: NASCAR

Visual style

The strongest visual elements are checkered black-and-white patterns, race-car numbering, sponsor-style logo placement, and “pit crew” styling on people or stations. Event vendors also lean on red, yellow, and green accents to echo racing signals and add motion and urgency to the room. Hosting a Corporate Party with a Racing Car Theme

Texas Motor Speedway NASCAR simulator

Corporate Look

For corporate events, the branding tends to be cleaner and more premium than a fan-zone setup, with the company logo integrated into signage, backdrops, lap counters, and keepsake items. That approach works well when the goal is to make the brand feel energetic without overwhelming the venue with literal race memorabilia.

What it feels like

A good NASCAR-themed activation feels like a branded mini speedway: guests see race graphics immediately, understand the theme fast, and associate the sponsor with speed, competition, and excitement. If done well, it reads as a high-energy experiential marketing setup rather than just decorative theming.

Races2U NASCAR activations

From slot cars to RC cars to simulators, Races2U has NASCAR options for all of our activations.  From recreating the iconic Daytona track in slot car form, to racing 1/12 scale 30MPH Losi NASCARs to simulators running the current liveries on all the major tracks, we go beyond the decorations to bring the entertainment as well!

20 reasons to have Races2u at your show

20 Reasons Why You Need a Races2U Track at Your Next Trade Show

Adding a Races2U slot car racing track to your booth may seem like a small idea—just a fun extra to make your trade show presence a little better. But in reality, a Races2U track can create a massive positive impact on your booth traffic, staff performance, brand perception, lead generation, and overall ROI.

If you’ve ever wondered, “Why should I bring a Races2U racing experience to my trade show?” here are 20 reasons it will transform your entire event strategy:

slot car racing steel trade show
 1. Races2U drives more booth traffic

Attendees get bored walking aisle after aisle. A racing track instantly grabs attention, pulls people in, and gives them a reason to stop. As your visitors race, they’ll tell others to come try it—creating a steady flow of traffic. "Attendees walking the trade show floor become a little jaded… and so they gravitate towards a game."

 2. Races2U draws in shy or hesitant attendees

Not everyone wants to walk into a booth and start talking business. Racing gives them a comfortable, low-pressure way to step inside and engage.

 3. Races2U makes booth staffing easier

Your staff doesn’t have to chase people down the aisle. The track brings attendees to them, keeping your team energized, engaged, and productive throughout the show. "Your average booth staffer gets bored quickly… But with a tradeshow game bringing in more traffic, your booth staffers don’t have to work hard to pull in attendees."

 4. Races2U makes your booth fun

Fun is magnetic. When people are laughing, cheering, and competing, others gather to see what’s happening. A crowd attracts a crowd.

 5. Races2U enhances your brand image

Want to shift your brand perception from “ordinary” to “innovative,” “energetic,” or “approachable”? A racing experience instantly modernizes your booth and creates positive emotional associations with your brand.

 6. Races2U increases attendee engagement

People stay longer when they’re having fun. Racing naturally sparks conversation, friendly competition, and interaction between attendees and your staff.

 7. Races2U helps educate buyers about your products

You can integrate branding, messaging, or product themes into the racing experience—cars, track signage, leaderboards, and more. As attendees play, your staff can share product benefits and capabilities in a relaxed, memorable way.

 8. Races2U helps cross-sell to existing customers

If your booth is full of current clients, racing gives you a fresh reason to bring them in and talk about additional products or services they may not know you offer.

 9. Races2U keeps attendees in your booth longer

The longer they stay, the stronger the relationship you build. Racing encourages repeat play, friendly rematches, and lingering conversations.

 10. Races2U increases the impact of your giveaways

Instead of handing out swag passively, tie your giveaways to race results, fastest lap times, or participation. This makes your giveaways more memorable and more effective.

simulator racing leaderboard
11. Races2U helps gather more lead data

People are far more willing to share contact info when they’re having fun. Racing gives them a reason to provide details, answer qualifying questions, and engage with your brand. "Tradeshow games… provide the incentive for attendees to share their contact data."

 12. Races2U can include analytics and reporting

You can track participation, engagement, and lead volume—giving you measurable proof of your trade show success.

 13. Races2U supports every stage of the buying cycle

Racing brings people in at the top of the funnel. From there, your staff can guide them deeper—product demos, conversations, meetings, and more. "Adding a tradeshow game helps bring in more traffic… directed to expand engagement at all phases of their buying cycle."

 14. Races2U recovers leads from smaller regional shows

If your regional reps struggle to collect or report leads, a racing activation gives them a structured, engaging way to capture attendee information consistently.

 15. Races2U retains leads during busy show times

When your staff is overwhelmed, racing keeps attendees occupied and engaged instead of walking away. You can still capture their info even if they can’t speak to someone immediately.

 16. Races2U generates more sales leads

More traffic = more leads. And because racing creates a memorable experience, these leads are warmer and more likely to convert. "Our clients regularly tell us they boost lead counts from 30% to 100%."

 17. Races2U improves post-show follow-up

Your sales team can easily reconnect with leads by referencing the racing experience: “Remember the slot car race you won?” “Remember battling for first place on our track?” This makes your outreach more personal and more effective.

 18. Races2U increases your trade show ROI

For a relatively small investment, you dramatically increase traffic, engagement, and leads—boosting ROI and often replacing more expensive, less effective promotions.

 19. Races2U gives you a proven, turnkey promotion

Planning trade shows is stressful. Races2U provides a fully managed, customizable experience that’s ready to go—no heavy planning required. "You quickly get a proven promotion that delivers results at your shows."

 20. Races2U elevates your professional reputation

A booth that’s busy, fun, and buzzing with energy makes you look like a rockstar. Your leadership will appreciate the results, your team will enjoy the engagement, and your competitors will envy the crowd around your booth.

How games increase trade show booth traffic

How can Races2U bring you more leads, conversions, and business?   Gamified activations can draw up to 5× more attendees than passive booths, as they lower "approach anxiety", offer a break from traditional marketing, and leverage the "crowd effect" (where watching others play naturally draws more onlookers). Using games at your booth yields several measurable benefits: Extended Dwell Time: Keeps attendees engaged instead of walking by.  Most of our activities last between 3 and 5 minutes, and over 90 percent of the participants stay the entire time.
Lead Generation: Requires a quick participant registration to capture valuable contact details.  Participants want to register as they want to see their name at the top in a competitive environment.
Higher Brand Recall: Makes your product more memorable through active, experiential learning.
Additional Publicity: Our unique and exciting activations are frequently captured on photo and video and shared on social media, with client logos prominent in the foreground. https://www.races2u.com/how-games-add-to-trade-show-booth-traffic/

NASCAR racing with ABI-Labs

Races2U partnered with RC Excitement to bring NASCAR RC racing to the ABI Labs Block party earlier this month.  ABI-LAB is a cutting edge incubator for research and biotechnology companies to work, grow, and thrive. Their mission is to provide lab spaces that allow our companies to succeed and successfully contribute scientific innovation.  RC Excitement is the Northeast’s Premier Radio Control Complex.  They carry many of the top RC brands for all kinds of fun, including not only the Losi NASCAR used in this event, but off-road and crawler and more.  Their shop is located in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, and they serve the entire New England area.  We are proud to partner with these great people, and if you need us to bring RC racing to you anywhere from Boston to Bangor, know that Races2U and RC Excitement have you covered.

What are some rules for pinewood derby?

pinewood derby kit - The main body structure must be made of pine wood. The substitution of other woods (i.e. harder, denser, heavier woods) is expressly forbidden.
- Weights are preferred to be inset in the body or on top of the car to aid in a safe stop at the end of the track. Weights on the bottom of the car may drag on the raised guide rail for the track slowing the car considerably and potentially damaging the track.
- No part of the car or attachment to any car, which is metal, pointed, sharp, and/or jagged, may be capable of contacting any part of the track. Only the vehicle’s wheels should touch the track.
- Drilled holes or slots can be used to mount axles.
- ONLY DRY LUBRICANT(s) ALLOWED. No oil lubricants are allowed.
- Width - Not to exceed 2 3/4 inches
- Length - Not to exceed 7 inches
- Weight - Not to exceed 5.0 ounces on scale accurate to 1/10 ounce.
- Center Rail Width - Must clear center guide rails, typically no less than 1-3/4 inches minimum.
- Bottom - No less than 3/8 inches from track surface between center rails. 1. Fender flairs with less clearance are acceptable as long as the center rail width clearance is maintained.
- The following items are PROHIBITED: 1. Springs 2. Starting devices or propellants 3. Electronic or lighting devices that interfere with the race electronics. 4. Liquids, wet paint, oil, sticky substance, or powders of any kind (other than axle lubrication) 5. Glass or excessively fragile parts 6. Bearings, bushings, washers, sleeves, hubcaps or inserts attached to or in contact with the axle, body or wheels. 7. Loose objects on car 8. Magnets
- Use only Official Pinewood Derby wheels.
- Outer wheel surface may be lightly sanded, shaved, or polished to remove surface imperfections, mold casting burrs, and correct off center wheel bores. • All 4 wheels MUST touch the track
- Nail type axles are required.
- Axles must be mounted into the wood sections of the car.
- Axles may NOT be bent.
- The use of exposed Lead(Pb) in cars is prohibited. All Lead(Pb) must be completely sealed and safe from all possible contact. There are many reasonably priced alternatives that should be used instead.
- All weights should be secured firmly to the vehicle with glue, screw, putty or wooden plugs. Loose or unsecured weights will not be allowed. Weights that fall from cars during racing may not be reattached. https://www.races2u.com/what-are-some-rules-for-pinewood-derby/

Long Island RC Racing

With help from our new partner Platinum Hobbies in Middle Island New York, Races2U set up an RC racetrack at Gurney's Resort for Monarch Capital.  Platinum Hobbies is a large RC focused hobby shop in Long Island with all sorts of RC boats, planes, and of course, race cars!  They have a track set up in store for guests to use, and they have a lot of experience with all sorts of RC vehicles.  They were a natural choice for us to partner with for this event, having a proven track record of customer service as well as knowledge of the equipment we use for our racing.  Gurney's is a beautiful upscale resort on the far Eastern tip of Long Island.  Known for the beautiful views and beaches as well as food and lodging, this was a lovely venue for us to set up our racing. Monarch Alternative Capital is an opportunistic credit and real estate manager with offices in New York, London, and West Palm Beach. They are investors seeking attractive opportunities across multiple verticals including corporate, real estate, structured credit, and special situations.  A big "Thank you" to David at Monarch for having us be a part of this event, and to Steven for making sure everything ran smoothly!

"I wanted to send you a note and THANK YOU for being a part of our Welcome Lunch on Wednesday... the team really enjoyed the little touch of fun during the lunch. I think that it was a great addition, and I really appreciate both Steven and Lauren coming prepared and ready to rock! Made my job so much easier. It was a pleasure to work together!" - David M.

At the Monaco Grand Prix - Part 1

The first of several upcoming posts and pictures from our adventures at the Monaco Grand Prix. The first thing that struck us is how absolutely beautiful everything is, and on a scale almost incomprehensible if you haven't traveled. This is one of the smallest and wealthiest contries on the planet, and the amount of money on display here was enough to stagger the mind. The cliffs of Monter Carlo rising hundreds of feet obove the water provided a spectacular background to all the superyachts in the harbor. Everything and everyone was beautiful- the natural beauty of the rocks and all the flowering plants, to the architcture, to the cars, to the people. This is the true "jet set" level, and to be here requires not only being in good shape financially, but also physically. The city was formed hundreds of years before automobiles, and although there are many drivable streets, most of the commerce and transportation is done on foot. The town is very wakable, but the hills are very steep. Many flights of stairs involved in getting around town. These are just a few shots of someof the town, crowds, and boats. Look for more in the upcoming days, and more about the race too!
