F1 week in Austin is off to an incredible start!

What a great week in Austin Texas for any race fan. Races2U has tracks set up all over the city this weekend, from corporate parties to public events. Look for tracks in the Palmer Events Center, Fable Fest in Cedar Park, the University of Texas Golf Club, Freescale, and more. Races2U owner has already been mixing with some of the world’s racing elite, including drivers such as Felipe Massa, Sergio Perez, Marcus Erricson, and the legendary Mario Andretti. Drive a Formula 1 car on our I-Racing Circuit of the Americas Simulator

Come take a test drive on the Circuit of the Americas in a Williams F1 car on our I-Racing simulator. I-Racing is highly regarded as one of the best racing simulations available, and is used by many professional drivers to keep their skills in the off season as well as learn the tracks. Come and take a test lap in our store every day this week up until the F1 race on Sunday, November 2nd. Please call 512-761-RACE for an appointment.

Formula 1 Teams and Fans already begin arriving in Austin

With the US Grand Prix just a week away, people are coming in from all over the world to watch the Formula 1 race here in Austin.  We have already had our first international guests this year from France and Great Britain, and we’re expecting many more as the week progresses.  Stop by the store before the race and pick up a Mercedes F1 car and maybe you’ll get lucky enough to have Nico Rosberg or Lewis Hamilton autograph it for you!  These highly detailed and accurate scale models from Scalextric not only race, but they look great on a shelf with other F1 collectibles and memorabilia.  Of course, we also have plenty of Ferrari F1 cars for the Tifosi out there, as  well as Red Bull, McLaren, Lotus, and more!  Stop by our shop open daily through Thursday October 30th from 1pm to 7pm or later, or call 512-761-7223 for an appointment if  you can’t make it during those hours.  We are happy to accommodate our out-of-town guests.  Please note, we will be closing early on Friday at 5pm.

Buda Gearheads Car Show 2014

This was the biggest and best show yet for the Buda Gearheads, with over 300 classic cars and hot rods filling the parking lot at Cabela’s just a few miles South of Austin this past Saturday.  We really appreciate them having us out again this year, and we’re already looking forward to the next one!  BTW, if you missed this car show, there are several more coming up in the next few weeks, including  Operation: American Muscle as well as the rain postponed Hot Rods ‘n’ Hot Bods car show.

Car Shows!!!

Fall in Central Texas is a great time for car shows, even if the weather can be a bit unpredictable.  Despite the cool damp weather, there was a good turnout for all of the shows this past weekend in Austin, including Cars and Coffee at the Oasis, Hot Rods and Hot Bods at Bone Daddy’s, and the Vintage Races at Circuit of the Americas.  Pictures are on the Races2U Facebook page.  However, the past is past, and what is coming up is what we want to tell you about!

This coming weekend will be the Buda Gearheads show at Cabela’s just a few miles South of Austin.

Look who came to visit!  Ok, so it was just the car, minus its famous driver.  Still, we were happy to see this iconic car right up the road from the Races2U   store! The boy in the picture is Alessandro Peck, racing fan and the son of Races2U owner Warren Peck.

Round Rock Chalk Walk
