2014 All British Car Day

It was a splendid day for tea and crumpets out on the lawn with some of the finest automobiles in the realm.  Hundreds of cars turned up for what may have been the first dry ABCD in ages, with not a drop of rain to dampen the show.  There were dozens of Aston Martins and Austin Healeys as well as Bentley’s, Jaguars, Minis, MGs, Morgans, Triumphs, Rovers, and of course, many fine examples of the most majestic of motorcars, the Rolls Royce.   Top it off with a few stainless steel Deloreans, and it was really a show that included the past, present, and future of British automotive excellence.  Races2U was proud to once again provide entertainment for children and adults alike on our mobile miniature motorway, and in keeping with the British theme, we had plenty of Scalextric cars and track on hand.  Enjoy the pictures, and come out and see many of these cars again at the Hot Rods and Hot Bods car show coming up in Austin  on Oct 11th.

Texas Food and Fuel Association Fall Conference

At Races2U, we love trade shows and corporate events as much as birthday parties, if not more.  While it’s fun to teach the kids how to race and watch them compete, it’s great to watch adults acting like kids competing against each other.  The racing was fast and furious, as we set up a small “street” type circuit, complete with intersections and lots of dangerous curves.*  No, we’re not talking about the grid girls!  The event was held at the Hyatt Resort in San Antonio, Texas, and was well attended by representatives of various businesses involved in the industry.  A big “Thank You” to the TFFA for having us be a part of their event, and we look forward to many more with this great group of people.
