LSI is a commercial indoor and outdoor lighting and display solutions company. They hired us to set up an RC track in their trade show booth at the LightX Expo at the Gaylord Texan resort and convention center in Dallas (Grapevine), Texas. The Expo was an opportunity for manufactures and distributors in the lighting industry to network with many of their biggest customers and also participate in educational courses about innovations in the industry. LSI is one of the biggest names in the industry, and it was obvious that this company has a lot of respect and goodwill from their clients. The team was really easy to work with , and everyone enjoyed the racing. This was a great opportunity for them to display their various product lines, because to be able to race on the track, each participant was required to visit 3 stations and learn about the various lighting solutions. Everyone wanted to race, so they willingly participated.
For this event, we setup a 10x20 road course and raced custom branded Kyosho Mini-Z remote controlled cars. We installed transponders into the cars so we could keep track of how many people raced, best times, and other data. The racing was fast and fun as we kept the large crowd of lighting professionals engaged for the entire duration of the event.
